Yandang Road Leisure Street is a branch street of the commercial street at Huaihai Road (Middle). It is also one of Shanghai’s first groups of 24-hour pedestrian leisure streets. The gravel pavement, the mid-street coffee and tea bars, the Fuxing Park on the north of the street and the Shanghai-style architectural complex create a unique and romantic atmosphere typical of the European Continent, making tourists unable to tear themselves away from the beautiful scene.
Volar originally penned as an exclusive member's only club but has recently made moves to appeal to a younger Hip Hop / Dance crowd on the weekends.
